What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 409

Joking aside, even I was getting fed up with reporting on my slovenly workdesk attitude. So I spent today's down time tidying up a little.
Now I have room to do the month end, so the desk will be book heavy for a couple of days and then I plan to do some more mess-making! See those 5 little bottles? They are Pixie Powders by Cosmic Shimmer. You treat them like Brushos, but they're pearly too. Looking forward to those. The iPad deckchair behind the  lovely bone china mug (a gift from Jan to help my wonky mouth learn to drink without dribbling) is loaded with new stamps.. I will show and tell later, when I finally spread them out to gloat over. There's a bunch of finished card ideas between the drawers and the basket, and the only other item of interest is the pack of Sugru which is going on the telly as a kit...I will play and tell more about that in a while. Which is why it's on the desk...I promised a review and can't possibly be allowed to forget. It's fascinating stuff, I must say.
Meanwhile, show and tell your own workdesks - put WOYWW in your post title and link here. It's easy and its fascinating. We visit, we comment, we enable. Ha, think I just came up with a motto!

Thought I'd come to the wrong desk for a moment... what a change.. hope the end of month stuff gets out the way soon so you can mess it all up again soon!! Look forward to your review although I have never heard of Sugru..

What a tease you are this morning. Not a clue what this Sukgru is and I am busting to know about those Cosmic Shimmer colours. Now that is something the others never thought about. Hurry up and do a review please.
What a lovely thoughtful friend you have in Jan.
Hugs, Neet xxx
ps nice to see you so tidy, now I must follow and get some tidying up done although in the next few weeks I will be in total disarray

Likewise Helen thought she was having us on and it wasn't her desk at all. Can't see anything wonky about the mug though. We will just have to wait and see all the end results of the other things. Have a good week. ANickoana (haven't done my post yet)

I'm sure I could use some pixie dust! What's in a name? Maybe I'll catch some of that tidy virus too!

I can't believe it's the same desk lol. Pixie Powders are great aren't they. I've made a couple of art journal pages recently where I've puffed them onto areas of the page and then activated and spread the colour using distress collage medium. Funnily enough, there's an example on my blog post for today's WOYWW. You get a beautiful 'streaky' effect and it seals the surface at the same time so you can use Pitt artist pens over the top once dry. Look forward to finding out more about Sugru. Sarah #4

You made me twitching mentioning month end. There's a big piece of paper with big red writing saying VAT propped up on the office desk to remind me yuck yuck yuck
Hope you are more disciplined than me Julia

Love the motto -Did you ever watch a Knights tale? the announcements at the jousts still have me in stitches, not sure I 'like' the tidy desks, but will be back having tasted your teaser of things to come... Dxxx #17

Yes that's the perfect motto Julia! OR we share, we snoop and we snigger - in a nice way of course! Jan knows what I mean!! xx Jo

Love the new motto LOL, especially the enable part! The deckchair is actually a good idea for stamp storage, even though I know it wasn't intentional! This reminds me of people who bought deckchairs from Amazon thinking they were the real thing - haha! Imagine their faces when they got them in the post! Happy Wednesday, Julia! zsuzsa #22

Your uncluttered desk sings out to me this week - even down to the five little bottles in a beautifully neat row. Are you feeling soothed and tranquil having got it to this state?!
Have a great week and I'm looking forward to your review, we have a load of sugru in the shed that hubby was given via the charity he works for. I had no idea what it was but you have piqued my interest now!

Wow, what a tidy desk, Julia, I thought I'd come to the wrong place!!!
I love the pixie powders, they work brilliantly with brushos, giving that gorgeous shimmer. You'll have fun playing with those.
No idea what sugru is so looking forward to learning more.
Hope you had a brilliant time with Jan.

Wow! Julia, so tidy! Look forward to seeing what you do with the Sugru I've not used it but believe it's some sort of glue type stuff you can mould. Have a great crafty week when you get the chance. Happy woyww, Angela x24x

Happy WOYWW. I love a tidy desk, although mine is far from that right now! Of course I had to Google what Sugru is - and I seem to have ordered one of their Create & Craft kits (£10 plus a 10% discount for a first order). They mention that you can make stamps with it - and an ideas booklet is included. Can never resist anything new!! Ali x #27

Although your desk looks clear, it sounds like there's a lot of action to come through it based on your post. Blessings!

Wow, mine never looks that tidy, even after I tidy! Love the motto- sums us up nicely I think. Heard a lot about the Pixie powders, more stable, colour wise I believe than the Brushos. Never heard of the Sugru, though, so will be interested to learn what thats all about. Love & Hugs, Shaz XXX

What a wonderful tidy workspace to help you finish up those end of month tasks & get back to something messy!

I am so grateful I don't have to do month end anything! Me and numbers do not mix at all. Thankfully my hubby is a bookkeeper! Your desk looks lovely and inviting, and I can't wait to see what you do with your new toys! Lindart #38

It always makes me eager to have time to play when I clean my space that much, I hope you get some play time with the new powders when your done with the book keeping. I like how they packaged them too, it looks more user friendly than the brusho's. ~Stacy #38

Hi Julia, that's as tidy as I've ever seen your desk! Once again your teasing us - with stamps and something I've never heard of, Sugru. Looking forward to seeing what that's all about. I think you have indeed just come up with a very appropriate motto for WOYWW :) Have a great week, hopefully not spending all your time on bookkeeping and admin. Hugs, Elizabeth x 30

I don't think I've ever seen your desk this tidy before... And now you're being as suspenseful as Angela with teasers of goodies! What a hoot. Loved the photos LLJ shared of you two and the fun you had! Hope you have a great week!

Wow your desk looks so tidy! I've been trying but mine still ends up looking a mess. Sigh. Perhaps if I clean it I will find my mojo somewhere beneath a pile.
